Ando is a beautiful brown and white Pitbull/Mix looking for his forever family! He's a middle age boy, and once he's at his ideal weight, should weigh around 60lbs. This boy is the total package for a family looking for an easy and loving dog! He is low/medium energy, is dog friendly, and kid friendly. Ando is great in his crate (8-10hr), is perfectly house trained, and knows his basic commands! He's working on his leash skills but is improving quickly. This sweet boy is down for anything - playing, car rides, or just cuddling up by your side. His foster Mom says that he is a little wiggle butt - when meeting new people, or when he's excited, he wiggles his whole body and leans in for love! He also has a snaggle tooth that adds to his already adorable Pittie smile!Ando came to BarkVille Dog Rescue after he was found as a stray and was turned into a rural GA shelter. He was emaciated, full of worms, and needed his tail amputated. He has since been fully vetted, and is continuing to put on weight. It is evident that he lived a very sad and hard life previously, and he deserves nothing but the best for the rest of his days! Ando will make a wonderful addition to any family - he will do great in any household, with or without kids, and/or other dogs. Due to his energy level and temperament, he does not require a fenced yard. Ando is currently going through Heartworm treatment. If you are not familiar with Heartworm disease, dogs get it from mosquitoes and it is not contagious. It is easily prevented & highly treatable, and the treatment requires low activity and rest. Ando is available for Foster to Adopt until his treatment is complete, and an adoption can be finalized. Ando is neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped.
