Description:

A SUPER FRIENDLY GIRL: Approx. 6 years old / Approx. 31 lbs. Hi, my name is Nora! If you're looking for a best friend who's equally happy heading out for a run, exploring the yard, playing with toys, or cuddling up with you on the couch, I may be your girl! I'm a happy, playful, affectionate "people dog" who LOVES attention. I'm also pretty smart! I'm a proud graduate of the Mostly Mutts Prison Pups immersive training program, where I learned all kinds of skills to help me become a wonderful family companion. Now I'm ready to put all that training to good use in a home of my very own! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I like the other dogs I've met at Mostly Mutts, and I also enjoy going for walks with them, so if you have a nice doggie at home, let's meet and see if we can be pals! / Cats unknown. / I haven't met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let's meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: The volunteers describe me as a smart girl who is fun and a lover of attention. I'm a 'people dog' who is playful and happy. I can be a little vocal in the shelter environment when I'm in my little room, but once I settled into the prison/foster training program, I relaxed and became much quieter. With a consistent routine and a comfortable environment, I show off my calm and easygoing personality! I am ready to be a great companion to a wonderful family. / Energy level: 3-5. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I'm a proud graduate of the Mostly Mutts Prison Pups immersive training experience, so, I've mastered the 'sit', 'stay', 'down', 'come', 'drop it', 'leave it' and 'place' commands. I also use proper door etiquette and have good leash manners as well as accept nice strangers without jumping. Let's continue my training together with the free lifetime training classes that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs! / My crate manners were good in the off-site training program. The trainers found that I didn't really need one and enjoyed sleeping outside of it overnight. / My potty habits were good in the off-site training program too. • LIKES/DISLIKES: I love to give and receive affection—collecting snuggles and leaning in for a nice hug. It's just the best! I always enjoy it when the volunteers break out the toys at the shelter. Play time is always fun! Stretching my legs in the play yard in the off-site training program was one of my favorite parts of the day! I love having room to run and explore in a yard, and don't worry, I'll happily come right back when called. / I can't think of any dislikes, though like all dogs, I'm sure I wouldn't like it if I didn't get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. My tail has been amputated as I had happy tail, so it is no longer painful. Since my previous owner did not keep me on heartworm prevention, I came to MM heartworm positive. Thankfully, I've been treated for it, so all is good now. I will have my heartworm re-check in mid-December, so local adoption is best. I have moderate tartar on my teeth, so my new family should consult their vet about a dental cleaning in the future. I'm looking for a wonderful home with a loving family that will treasure me for life! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I'm located in Kennesaw, Ga.
