Description:

A FUN, ACTIVE & HAPPY PUP: Approx. 6 months old / Approx. 33 lbs. and growing Hi, my name is Lucas! Mostly Mutts rescued me from animal control, and I sure am happy about that! I arrived with a pretty rough case of juvenile cellulitis, but I’ve recovered from that and looking and feeling great now! I was adopted for a few months but came back as I was a bit too much of a puppy for the young kids in the family. So, I’m looking for a new family to love and be active with! I got to spend some time in the prison/foster training program off site and learned a lot! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I really like and wanted to play with every dog I’ve met at Mostly Mutts, in the prison/foster training program and my former family reported that I liked the dogs I met with them too. If you have a nice doggie who may enjoy a fun and playful buddy, let’s meet and see if we can be lifetime pals! / My former family reported that I did well with cats, so let’s meet. / I liked the younger kids in my former home but I’m a typical bigger mouthy puppy, so kids 10 and older may be best in my new home - let’s meet! • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: The volunteers describe me as ‘a super sweet and adorable boy’. I’ve got lots of exuberant and goofy puppy energy that just needs direction through training and meeting my exercise needs. A typical puppy, I am friendly and curious about and nibble on everything – including the volunteers – playfully, of course. I’m as cute as I am playful, so let’s have fun together! / My energy level is 6-8, so get ready to be active with (and invest training in) your new best friend! • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I’m in the Mostly Mutts University training program and so far, I’ve learned the ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘down’, ‘come’, ‘drop it’, ‘leave it’ and ‘place’ commands. I think I’m pretty smart, don’t you? Now I’m working on my leash manners as well as lots of other commands. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts and in my former home. / My former family reported that I was now potty trained, and I’ve barely had any accidents since returning to MM’s, so once I know the routine at my new home, I think I will do well. • LIKES/DISLIKES: I LOVE to play. All toys excite me and spending time playing with the volunteers in the play yard is just the BEST! I’d enjoy a fenced yard in my new home, where we can have lots of play sessions together. I’m affectionate and loving, so I loved being held, giving kisses, and being cuddled up in my towel after my shelter bath. I also ride well in the car, so let’s go have some fun together! / I can’t think of any dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I’m looking for a wonderful home with an active family! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
