Male Dog, Pit Bull Terrier

Pit Bull Terrier (Short Coat)

Description:

Friends to the Forlorn Adopt-a-BullName: Rayy Dubbs Breed: Pitbull Terrier Estimated DOB: 1/3/2017 Location: Lawrenceville, Ga RESCUING RAYY DUBBS Rayy Dubb came from Dekalb County Animal Services and was initially being fostered through their program but became severely sick within a couple days of being in his foster home. He was diagnosed with heart failure, as a result of his severe heartworms. His condition was more serious than the county pound could handle, so his foster reached out to FTTF in hopes of helping Rayy Dubbs survive. She was committed to caring for him through his illness, getting him healthy, and helping him find a forever home so we welcomed him into the Forlorn Family on January 4, 2023. ABOUT RAYY DUBBS Rayy Dubbs is around 7 years old and 70 pounds. He is a sweet boy who is also housebroken and crate trained. He hasn't been around other dogs, cats, or kids but he has a low-energy, submissive temperament and loves to be a couch potato, preferably with his person right by his side. His favorite activities are eating, cuddling, and giving kisses! Rayy Dubbs is a smart guy and loves to please his people, knowing how to sit, stay, wait, and kiss on demand. He is a strong boy but is good on a leash. He has completed heartworm treatment but needs to keep a low-key lifestyle due to the residual effects of having heartworms; if he gets too excited or active, it can cause some coughing. He can sometimes be described as a "bull in a china shop" since he isn't always aware of his size and strength, so a home without small children would be best. He is a very sweet, gentle boy but could accidentally knock over a young child. Overall, his foster reports he is very well-behaved and just loves to be loved and give it back. He is a wonderful companion and a total lap dog, perfect for a family looking for a new best friend! Could that family be with you? ADOPTING RAYY DUBBS Rayy Dubbs is neutered, current on vaccines, dewormed, heartworm tested negative, and microchipped. He is on monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventative. He is eating premium grain-free dry dog food. His adoption fee is $300.
