Male Dog, Pit Bull Terrier

Pit Bull Terrier / Labrador Retriever / Mixed

Description:

Sweet Charlie was surrendered to animal control with his buddy Douglas when their owner went into hospice and the family didn't want them. Through what might be divine intervention, their story made it to one of our fosters who felt called to "make room for 2 more". From foster mom: "I am so glad I took a chance on these 2. Charlie is the sweetest boy. You can tell he was loved. He's quiet, gentle, and affectionate. He walks well on leash. He's older (6-8 years) and you can see a little gray coming in, but he has many years of love left to give. Charlie is a bigger guy and looks I think of his owner who likely didn't have a choice in the dogs being surrendered. I hope they know that Charlie and Doug are safe with me until they find their forever home." Charlie is crate trained. He goes willingly in his crate and is quiet. He loves to be scratched on his back above his tail. That's why when you go to pet him he offers his back instead of meeting you head on!
