Stormy had been abandoned in the backyard of a house after her owners moved away. It was weeks before anyone brought her to the shelter. At intake, she was so very, very thin — just 68 pounds, rated a 1 on the body condition scale, with no immune system left to fight off illness. She soon caught the flu and became quite ill. But here’s the part we love to focus on — her comeback! Stormy is now a healthy, stunning 94 pounds and absolutely thriving. She’s under 2 years old, whip-smart, affectionate, and eager to please (especially if you’ve got cookies ). Her handlers adore her, and she’s already excelling in class!
