Despite his quarks, Fuji is a terrific boy with a great spirit and fun loving nature. He is very friendly and loves to spend time with people. Fuji enjoys cuddling and affection, belly rubs, brisk leash walks, and romping in the yard. It’s hard not to share his happy vibes when hanging out with him. Fuji is a gorgeous, adorable Shih Tzu, about 7 years old and 14-15 pounds. Although most of the time Fuji is his wonderful self, he is quarky, and, on occasion, if provoked, he misbehaves. He needs an owner with experience, compassion, and patience, who is okay with a dog that is not perfect all the time (who is?), and who will allow Fuji the space he needs to be comfortable. He does enjoy playing with other easy going dogs (see video), but can be quarky with them too. Of course, this may not occur in a quiet home environment, unlike at the shelter. Fuji is also food aggressive, so he must be separated from other dogs while eating or giving treats.
