Male Dog, Labrador Retriever

Labrador Retriever / Mixed (Medium Coat)

Description:

Remember when Harold was getting passed by day by day for months at the shelter? When even the shelter staff found themselves asking “who’s Harold?” Well now he makes it his mission to ensure that each and every person he meets knows EXACTLY what an amazing guy he is and that’s exactly what his foster parents say too! Harold has spent the last couple of weeks charming his foster parents, so much so that they talked about adopting him if it weren’t for their tough work schedule. Harold may be cool as a cucumber in every other way but this sweet brindle boy suffers from crate and separation anxiety which makes their long hours at work really hard for him. Harold has met with a trainer that believes this anxiety is workable but like most transitions, it does require time and patience. We’ve found a special crate that works for Harold in the meantime so he cannot hurt himself or act destructively when the fear of being left alone is just too much, but his ideal home is one in which crate time would be limited Harold is dog friendly, people friendly, and kid friendly. He plays hard with his canine friends and would do best with a dog that can match his energy level! He LOVES adventures and would make a great car riding buddy - he will happily walk like a champ on leash and is game for anything if it involves being outside! He’s even got a favorite sunbathing spot in the backyard. When he’s not rolling around in the grass or working on his tan, you can find him cuddled up on the couch with the closest human! His foster parents “cannot emphasize enough just how sweet and loving” he is Harold is looking for a forever best friend that will show him that he never has to fear being alone again If that sounds like you, don’t hesitate to reach out! We’d love to get him in a foster to adopt home. Give us a call at 904-392-3416 or message us here for more info!
