At just 27 pounds, Dave might be small in size, but he’s overflowing with personality, charm, and love to give! This 2.5-year-old hound mix is house-trained, smart as a whip, and recently graduated from the Taming Tarzan class at Peggy Adam. He also earned his “Green Paw” from Dynamite Dog Training – go, Dave! Dave is a training rockstar and knows all the basics like sit, stay, down, settle, touch, “here,” and “watch me.” He’s got excellent recall with a whistle and will trot right into his crate when told “night night.” During the day, he also responds to the command “go home” and will happily go relax in his crate on his own. Dave gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would love a canine companion to help show him the ropes and boost his confidence. Whether it’s playtime or just chilling out together, Dave is a polite and easygoing friend to his fellow pups. He does have some separation anxiety, so he’s looking for a home with the patience and understanding to help him build trust and feel secure. A calm, stable environment where his humans are around more often than not would be ideal. Once Dave feels safe, he’s incredibly affectionate, loyal, and will be your shadow and best buddy for life.
