Male Dog, Irish Setter

Irish Setter (Long Coat)

Description:

Apply to Adopt Me! Hi! My name is Ryder. I'm an Irish Setter, and a handsome 34lb. boy if I do say so myself. I am told I'm typical of a 7-month-old pup! I love to run, but I do have a slight limp at times if I overdo it. You see, at some point in my short life, my leg (the radius and ulna) was fractured, but the vet said a callus has formed and it is healing normally and recommended no intervention. I didn't have a great beginning to my life - I was abandoned by my breeder at a local dump with my sibling Ruby. We didn't get much to eat and were very malnourished. The vet said at some point I must have been chained, because my canines are somewhat worn down, so it's best if I have soft plushies instead of hard bones or toys. But that horrible life ended when these wonderful people saved us. Now we ready for our forever homes. I love love toys - I never had any and I want them all! I walk pretty well on a leash, and love to play with other dogs. I have not been cat tested. I am a little shy at first with new people but warm up quickly. I get along well with all people, but I may be too active for small kids. I would love to spend Christmas with my forever family. Will that be you? I do need a secure fenced yard to run and play in. If you live in the Central Florida/Orlando area and believe you have the perfect home for me, just complete an app and tell us about your family.
