Pit Bull Terrier / Labrador Retriever / Mixed (Short Coat)

Description:

Sydney is a Little Guild alumni who was surrendered back to us after several years due to changes in the family dynamic. She is shy and hesitant at first, but extremely sweet and affectionate once her trust is earned. While she tends to favor women, she can and will warm up to men if handled patiently. This happy girl loves to shower you in the face with kisses so be prepared for that. She also loves a good cuddle and game of fetch with her stuffed toys. She came to us with an impressive foundation in obedience training and is able to perform a variety of commands reliably, including “sit”, “down”, and “place”. Sydney is ideal for an experienced dog owner who is ready to give her a second chance! APPROXIMATE WEIGHT: 77 ESTIMATED DOB: 11/7/2016 GOOD WITH OTHER DOGS: GOOD WITH KIDS: GOOD WITH CATS: REQUIRES A FENCE: ACTIVITY LEVEL: LIKES TO VOCALIZE: SPECIAL NEEDS: BREED EXPERIENCE NEEDED: APPROPRIATE PLACEMENT FOR 1ST TIME DOG OWNER? no FREE OBEDIENCE TRAINING IS OFFERED WITH ALL DOG ADOPTIONS Please note that we are often asked if dogs are "house trained". The dogs are in fact living in a kennel environment during their time with us. Even if they have previously lived in a home and been trained - the stress of the change and the new home can sometimes cause regression and require some additional training. We feel that it's best for all adopters to be prepared for this possibility. Visit our adoption page for details about our process, and to fill out an adoption application. All animals come spayed/neutered, UTD on vaccines, and microchipped. If the animals age or health prevents any of these from being completed prior to adoption a voucher is issued for the services to be performed. If you have any questions about the animal, or our adoption process, please email [email protected]. The Little Guild is a 501c(3) federally recognized non-profit organization devoted to saving the lives of homeless pets.
