Description:

It is spring and flowers are blooming just like lovely Flower, the Puerto Rican rescue pup who comes to Connecticut in search of her forever home and family. She is around 5 months old and a mixed breed girl with a handsome tan coat and big brown eyes.It is playtime when Flower comes to call as she all the high energy and spirits of many a puppy, and a sweet personality that encourages everyone she meets to play along with her. Flower is currently 20 pounds, and it is estimated she will be a medium sized dog (31-60 pounds) when she is grown. Flower is all wagging tail and happy thoughts when she gets to spend time with children and other dogs. It is not known whether Flower enjoys the company of cats.Flower is working on her house, leash and crate training. Still a puppy, Flower needs a bathroom routine after meals, exercise, and naps to complete her house training. It is important to remember that rescue dogs can have accidents as they become accustomed to a new home, family and routines. If crate training is planned, Flower requires a crate big enough for her, as she grows, to stand and turn around in as well as lie down comfortably. Crates should be cozy, happy places for dogs to hang out and must never be used for punishment. Flower needs time to explore her crate and go in and out as she wishes. Pups have immature growth plates until about a year old so short walks, games that carefully match her playful spirit, and quiet naptime ensure she grows up healthy and fit. As spring turns into summer, with Flower at your side the world will become a beautiful place.* Please keep in mind when considering adoption, dogs thrive on structure and routine. They adjust significantly better when their owners are committed to providing consistency and stability. The adoption fee for Flower is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees.
