Female Dog, Terrier

Terrier / Terrier / Mixed

Description:

Caprice is a sweet lovable pup. How can you resist that face and floppy ears that tell you she is ready to have a forever home. She is a terrier mix with a short black and white coat. She is around 12 months old and currently weighs about 37 pounds. When fully grown she is expected to be within the medium range (25-50 pounds). Terrier mixes are known to be smart, loving, and confident. They can be active and like to run around to burn off energy. Add to that the traits of playfulness and good-naturedness and you have an appealing mix. She enjoys the company of other dogs during play time and would be a great addition to a family with a canine resident. Caprice does well with children but does not find feline companionship to her liking so she will need a home without a feline resident. Caprice has lots of potential, and since she is smart and friendly, she can grow to be a wonderful companion in the right home. Caprice will do will with an average active family since she is a medium energy girl. She is in the process of learning her leash and crate training. She is showing lots of improvement and is well on her way to being fully trained. She is also doing very well with her leash training and making great progress. Using the right guidance with consistency and patience, will help her with the skills she needs to master. Cheerful praise and lots of treats will go a long way in helping her master each skill. She has hit the ball out of the park as she has mastered her house training. Although Caprice is house trained, it is important to remember that potty accidents can occur while adjusting to a new home environment. This girl is all about her spunk and charisma. Caprice enjoys play sessions with other dogs, chewing her bone and snuggling on the sofa. She also has impressive physical skills with her being able to easily jump over a 4-foot fence. She just might be a good candidate for agility training to showcase her talent. In any case, her forever family will need to make sure this girl is contained in an outdoor space with a fence high enough that she will not jump over it. Caprice will enjoy time outside to run around, pick up scents here and there and have opportunities to mingle and play with other dogs. She will benefit from regular exercise and daily walks will also be beneficial to her family since it offers a great opportunity for bonding. Mix that up with ample socialization and continued training and you will have a happy and content canine companion in Caprice. Her time to shine is now and in the presence of her forever family. Take a chance and invite Caprice into your life and home. The adoption fee for Caprice is $500.
