Description:
Meet Gem, a sweet and spunky little gal who doesn’t let having three legs slow her down one bit! She’s full of personality and charm, always ready for a cuddle or a play session. Gem absolutely loves being brushed — it’s one of her favorite ways to bond and relax. She’s making great progress with her potty training and is eager to please her humans. While Gem isn’t a fan of the crate, she does well when given a comfy space of her own. She would thrive in a home with submissive dogs or as the only female pup, where she can continue to build confidence and soak up all the love she deserves. If you’re looking for a resilient, affectionate, and spirited companion, Gem just might be your perfect match!Gem was rescued from a shelter in New Mexico. When she was found, she was hobbling on a bad back leg that had to be amputated. She is healing well!A meet and greet with any resident dogs in the home will be required.Meet and greets are by appointment only. An approved application is required to schedule a meeting. Check out our events page for upcoming open adoption events! We have no additional back story or update for this dog at this time. When we do, it will be updated here. This is all the information we have currently. Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by clicking donate above. Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance. We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.
