Description:

Boomie is one hap-hap happy puppy! His tail never stops wagging! He has a ton of energy. He loves his toys, including his tail. Boomie can go up stairs but is a little hesitant going down. We are working on that. He knows the sit command. We started working on shake and down. He learned the dog door by watching his foster brothers and sister. He is doing well with potty training when taken outside frequently. He sleeps 6 hours in a crate by our bed at night without a peep. He does not love being in the crate or a puppy pen when left alone and will whine, but will eventually calm down. Boomie would benefit from mental and physical stimulation and would love long walks (when he is old enough to be out and about in public). He loves being in the yard and chasing blowing leaves. He does well with his older, senior, foster dog siblings and is learning boundaries with them. He just wants to play, play, play with them. Boomie is such a cute, handsome, and funny puppy that will be sure to put a smile on your face. Boomie was rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas when he was just days old. He was raised in a foster home. Unfortunately he had some scratches on his eye, but they are healing.Meet and greets are by appointment only. An approved application is required to schedule a meeting. Check out our events page for upcoming open adoption events! We have no additional back story or update for this dog at this time. When we do, it will be updated here. This is all the information we have currently. Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by clicking donate above. Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance. We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.
