Female Dog, Chihuahua

Chihuahua / Mixed

Description:

Bella is a beautifully well-rounded girl with the sweetest disposition and a calm, low-to-medium energy level. She has already mastered all the basics — she walks nicely on leash, has a healthy appetite, is crate trained, fully house trained (no accidents!), and sleeps soundly through the night. She truly would be an easy addition to almost any household.Bella is more of a cuddler than an athlete. She loves being close to her people and is constantly seeking affection — whether that’s curling up beside you on the couch or gently asking for attention. In her foster home, she’s especially fond of her 22-lb canine companion and often seeks out cuddles and closeness. While she enjoys chewing on rope toys and plushies, she hasn’t shown much interest in fetch or chasing balls. She’s sweet, affectionate, calm, and quiet — the kind of dog who brings a peaceful presence to a home.On walks, Bella has been somewhat timid around unfamiliar dogs. With continued gentle exposure and confidence building, she may grow more comfortable over time.If you’re looking for a loving, easygoing companion who’s happiest snuggled up by your side, Bella might be your perfect match.Bella was rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas. She has tested positive for Heartworm. Treatment is covered by the rescue at one of our partner veterinarians.Meet and greets are by appointment only. An approved application is required to schedule a meeting. Check out our events page for upcoming open adoption events! We have no additional back story or update for this dog at this time. When we do, it will be updated here. This is all the information we have currently. Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by clicking donate above. Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance. We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.
