Please DO NOT call or email us; all information about current dogs available, adoption donations, vetting, and this specific dog are on our website. We are a non-profit organization and we are completely 100% volunteer run. We DO NOT have a shelter and only approved applicants can make appointments with our foster homes to meet the dogs we have. Our volunteers will not discuss dogs we have available for adoption UNTIL you have an application on file and are approved to adopt.General Notes | Charlie Brown is the ultimate lovable underdog! This sweet, earnest, and hopeful pup tries his absolute hardest at everything he does, even if life throws him a curveball (or he misses the football!). He has a huge heart and a sensitive soul, always dedicated to his friends and family. Charlie Brown may worry a little, but he promises to shower you with unconditional love, making every day feel like a winning baseball game—all he needs is a little confidence boost and a forever home to call his own! Want to adopt this dog? Please do not email us. Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP. Personality | Sweet, playful, snuggly, and happy! This crew has been in a foster home since birth and are all well socialized and adorable.Story | This litter was born to mama Aggie who was pulled from a high-kill shelter in Waco heavily pregnant. MHLM received word on her and had 12 hours to get her, so one of our wonderful Houston fosters drove over seven hours, securing mama, who gave birth a few days later! She was lucky enough to give birth to her large litter of 12 in a loving foster home! This litter has been in a wonderful foster home their whole lives and are well socialized and healthy pups! Dogs | Great with other pups! Born to a litter of 12 so these babies know how to share. They will do well with dog friends in their homes ; ) Cats | This litter is expected to be great with kitties due to their wonderful demeanor and young age. Children | Would love kiddos who will play, snuggle, and give ALL the kisses! Training | In progress! All these babies are working on potty training, crate training, and sleeping through the night. Leash | Too little to leash walk, but will learn with time! Our rescue follows “No Paws on the Ground" (NPOG) as a safety protocol for young puppies, primarily used by veterinarians, shelters, and rescues. It means that an unvaccinated or partially vaccinated puppy should never be allowed to put their feet on the ground in any public or communal area where other dogs or animals may have been. These babies love to play in secure yards, and be snuggled and held on family walks.Activity Level | Moderate. Typical puppy who loves to nap, play, repeat! Health Notes | Healthy and happy!Thank you! | Adoption Donations | Our adoption donations are $475 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year, $425 for 1-6 years, $375 for dogs 7-10 years, and $250 for 11+ years of age. Purebred dogs regardless of age are $525. These minimum donations help to defer the costs of initial vet care, food, and supplies while in foster care that currently average over $700 per dog).Meeting Dogs | Foster dogs may have meet & greets by appointment to approved applicants only. To become an approved applicant - please complete the application process. Please know | Available dogs are updated as soon as possible and we do our best to keep it up-to-date, but occasionally dogs shown may become unavailable without notice due to a pending adoption. We encourage you to put in an application even if you don't see your new family member currently, as once you are approved, we can place you on the waiting list for first priority on the selection of the dogs we do bring in. That means you can often meet a dog upon transport arrival and adopt before they even make it to this page!We can not guarantee that a dog you wish to adopt is available by the time your adoption application is submitted, processed, and approved. Your application is good for one year from the date of applying for any dog as long as it is a good fit for your family and your lifestyle.
