We DO NOT have a shelter and only approved applicants can make appointments with our foster homes to meet the dogs we have. Our volunteers will not discuss dogs we have available for adoption UNTIL you have an application on file and are approved to adopt.General Notes | Sweet Ciara is so easy to love and would thrive in just about any loving home! Everyone who meets her describes her as an absolute dream. She's a total pocket pal at around 36 lbs and loves other dogs and people! This sweet girl is previously a mama, and deserves all the love, snuggles, and rest that comes with the kids heading off to college! ; ) Want to adopt this dog? Please do not email us. Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP. Personality | Ciara is so sweet and loving. Her foster family says she is mellow, adoring, and happy as can be to be near her people! Her tail never stops wagging and she never leaves her fosters sides! She's truly a wonderful girl who deserves the best life! Story | Ciara was pulled by a foster from a very high kill shelter in south Texas along with her ten puppies. Most of her puppies died and we were asked to help with her so that she would have a chance at a good life. She made her way to Colorado and is now exploring the great outdoors and learning all about what life in a home with a loving family looks like! Other Dogs | Ciara is good with other dogs of all sizes. She is currenly in a foster home with lots of dogs, and is respectful of boundaries and does well in adapting to the space!Cats | Ciara hasn't been cat tested, but her fosters think she would be okay. A proper meet and greet would be needed! She's such a gentle girl, her fosters think she could do well with a kitty friend. Children | Her Texas fosters had children and said she did wonderful. She is so sweet, gentle, loves attention, snuggles, and would adore kiddos of her own to dote on! Training | She is housebroken and sleeps all night without a peep. Her current foster doesn't crate her but at our request she tried and Ciara was fine. She does amazing on car rides and doesn't make a peep! She is currently exploring Colorado snow and every day is an adventure for this beauty! She's so excited to see the state with you whether it's on a hike or just as the loveliest passenger on a long drive!Leash | Ciara does okay on a leash! She is still learning the world is a safe place.Activity Level | Ciara is pretty laid back girl who like to trot around the backyard. Low to moderate energy level. Health Notes | Ciara was treated for anaplasmosis and ehrlichia but was magically heartworm negative! She's doing much better now and is ready to explore Colorado!Thank you! | Adoption Donations | Our adoption donations are $475 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year, $425 for 1-6 years, $375 for dogs 7-10 years, and $250 for 11+ years of age. Purebred dogs regardless of age are $525. These minimum donations help to defer the costs of initial vet care, food, and supplies while in foster care that currently average over $700 per dog).Meeting Dogs | Foster dogs may have meet & greets by appointment to approved applicants only. To become an approved applicant - please complete the application process. Please know | Available dogs are updated as soon as possible and we do our best to keep it up-to-date, but occasionally dogs shown may become unavailable without notice due to a pending adoption. We encourage you to put in an application even if you don't see your new family member currently, as once you are approved, we can place you on the waiting list for first priority on the selection of the dogs we do bring in. That means you can often meet a dog upon transport arrival and adopt before they even make it to this page!We can not guarantee that a dog you wish to adopt is available by the time your adoption application is submitted, processed, and approved. Your application is good for 90 days from the time of approval for any dog as long as it is a good fit for your family and your lifestyle.
