Description:
Please go to our website at www.milehighlabmission.com to find out more about this pet and to submit an adoption application. Please DO NOT call or email us; all information about current dogs available, adoption donations, vetting, and this specific dog are on our website. We are a non-profit organization and we are completely 100% volunteer run. We DO NOT have a shelter and only approved applicants can make appointments with our foster homes to meet the dogs we have. Our volunteers will not discuss dogs we have available for adoption UNTIL you have an application on file and are approved to adopt.General Notes | Kratos is an endlessly curious explorer who isn't interested in battles—he prefers winning your love and attention! While he may not rule a kingdom, he is absolutely ready to conquer your lap. Want to adopt this dog? Please do not email us. Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP. Personality | Sweet, curious, lanky, loves toys, and great with kids, dogs and cats! Both his Texas and Colorado foster have raved about how perfect, gentle and affectionate he is! Someone will be very lucky to welcome this sweet boy into their family!Story | Kratos was dumped in Houston with his brother. A kind family took him in and reached out to MHLM for help so we could get these boys to the good life in Colorado! Since they were dumped, we don't have any history on them, but we think they might be lab/hound or lab/weimaraner babies with their big, extra floppy ears. Whatever they're mixed with was a recipe for the bestest boys. :) Dogs | Great with other pups! He is being fostered with a playful dog and grumpy dog. He loves to play with the playful dog and is taking cues well and respecting the space of the grumpier dog. Cats | Good with kitty friends! He was fostered with cats in Texas and was respectful to the kitties. His Texas foster said he mostly ignored the kitties.Children | Great with kids! He's is being fostered with little kids and is doing great! He takes treats very gently and is such a good boy!Training | Kratos is potty trained, crate trained and overall a very well behaved dog for his young age! His Texas foster mom said he never got into the trash and only jumped on the couch when invited.Leash | Kratos walks very well on the leash. Activity Level | Moderate. He LOVES toys and playing with doggy friends! He also loves loves to fetch and brings the ball back like the perfect retriever that he is!Health Notes | Healthy and happy!Thank you! | Adoption Donations | Our adoption donations are $575 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year old, $525 for 1 - 6 years old, $475 for dogs 7 - 10 years old, and $350 for 11+ years of age. Purebred dogs regardless of age are $625. These minimum donations help to defer the costs of initial vet care, food, transportation to Colorado, and supplies while in foster care that currently average over $750 per dog).Meeting Dogs | Foster dogs may have meet and greets by appointment to approved applicants only. To become an approved applicant - please complete the application process. We will not respond to emails about animal availability or allow meet and greets without an approved adoption application on file. Please Note | Available dogs are updated as soon as possible and we do our best to keep it up-to-date, but occasionally dogs shown may become unavailable without notice due to a pending adoption. We can not guarantee that a dog you wish to adopt is available by the time your adoption application is submitted, processed, and approved. Your application is good for one year from the date of applying for any dog as long as it is a good fit for your family and your lifestyle. We encourage you to put in an application even if you don't see your new family member currently, as once you are approved, we can place you on the waiting list for first priority on the selection of the dogs we do bring in. That means you can often meet a dog upon transport arrival and adopt before they even make it to this page!
