Oreo #11 | 1-Year-Old Terrier Mix | Sweet, Shy, and Ready to Be Your Shadow Meet Oreo, a 12-pound bundle of sweetness wrapped in a black-and-white coat as charming as her personality. This one-year-old Terrier mix may start out a bit shy, but once she feels safe, she transforms into a loving, loyal little “velcro dog” who wants nothing more than to be near her people. Oreo is doing very well with her house training—just a few accidents here and there—and she’s mastered using the doggie door. She’s great with other dogs and, after a few days of warming up, becomes fast friends who love to play “chase me” around the yard. She hasn’t met any cats or kids yet, but she’s shown herself to be gentle and friendly with everyone she meets. On walks, Oreo does well but may pull a bit as she explores the world around her. She’s learning commands like come, stay, no, and off, and is motivated by food, toys, and affection (especially those Pupperoni treats!). She enjoys daily playtime but also knows how to settle down and relax when it’s time to unwind. When left alone, Oreo may whine or bark at first, but she settles down—especially when she has another dog for company. Because she loves being close to her humans, she’d thrive in a home where someone is home most of the day or works from home. A playful canine companion would be a wonderful bonus. Oreo is playful, affectionate, and eager to love. She’s looking for a family who will give her the attention, patience, and companionship she craves—and in return, she’ll give you her heart (and maybe her paw) every single day. If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you. The adoption fee for this pet is $375. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email [email protected] for more information, as we can't accept calls. PLEASE NOTE: The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter. Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets. Here is some interesting info on breed identification: https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online. We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
