Chalupa #3 | 10 months | Playful Border Collie Mix Looking for Her People Meet Chalupa, a sweet and energetic 10-month-old Border Collie mix weighing about 37 pounds. With her black-and-white coat, expressive eyes, and endearing personality, Chalupa is as charming as her name suggests. This fun-loving girl is playful, friendly, and curious about the world around her. She loves toys, bones, and anything she can chew on—especially her red Kong stuffed with peanut butter. Walks are one of her favorite activities, and she does great on leash, prancing happily alongside her people. Once she’s had her exercise, she’s just as content to curl up for a nap or rest her head on you for snuggles. Chalupa is almost fully house-trained and lets you know when she needs to go outside by pacing or getting a little antsy. She’s also making great progress with her crate training—she may whine a bit at first but soon settles down. She does well when left alone for short periods, especially if another dog is around for company. She enjoys the company of other dogs and is friendly once she warms up, though she can be a bit shy at first. Chalupa has also done well with cats, respecting their space and backing off if they hiss. She hasn’t met children yet but has a gentle and sweet nature. Smart and motivated by both food and toys, Chalupa is working on basic commands and loves to sit for treats. She has a high energy level when playing or out on walks, balanced by an easygoing side when it’s time to relax. Chalupa’s ideal home would be one that offers patience as she settles in and plenty of love and exercise once she does. She’d thrive with an active family or in a multi-dog household—but what she really wants most is a home where she can be loved and included. Chalupa is ready to dance her way into your heart—zoomies and all! If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth.
