Coming from a challenging start in a hoarding situation, Shea has already come a long way and continues to shine as he learns to trust and explore the world around him. During his time in a foster home, Shea proved just how fast he can learn—especially when treats are involved! He’s already mastered sleeping peacefully in his crate, walks nicely on a leash, and loves playing and learning from his doggy pals. He thrives with at least one canine companion who can keep up with his boisterous, playful energy and help guide him as he navigates new experiences. Though curious and full of life, Shea is still building confidence in new environments and around new people. He’s looking for a patient, loving family who will give him the time, guidance, and reassurance he needs to continue blossoming into the amazing dog he’s becoming. Due to severe overcrowding and limited resources in the region, many shelters are faced with incredibly difficult decisions. Together, we’re working to give these dogs a better chance by finding them loving homes or transferring them to partner rescues. They’re available for adoption just like our Rescue Ranch pups — but because of the urgency of the situation, they may be transferred quickly. While they are with us, each and every rescue dog receives the best of care in a loving and nurturing environment. Their routines include daily playgroups or partnering with dog buddies, quality time walking or being groomed, and two meals a day with dog biscuits for dessert. All of our dogs receive the best in veterinary care and are spay/neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and fully vaccinated.
