Meet Allen J – Your New Best Friend! A Contra Costa Animal Services survivor. I’m a petite, handsome Pittie mix with a big heart and lots of love to give. I am vaccinated neutered, microchipped . I am about 2 yrs old and weigh about 47 lbs. I’m a very happy, healthy boy who truly enjoys life and the people (and pups!) around me. I play wonderfully with the other puppies in my playgroup and absolutely love my toys—I tend to put everything in my mouth, which makes my foster mom think I’m still a puppy at heart. I’m also very intelligent, listen well, and I’m highly trainable. I would thrive with professional training because I’m eager to learn and extremely motivated to please my humans. I can be a little shy at first, so I’m looking for a patient and loving forever human who can give me a safe space to build trust. Once I feel comfortable, I warm up quickly and become a loyal, affectionate companion. I’m respectful with other dogs. I’m also very curious about kitties! I have a medium energy level—I enjoy long walks, car rides, and playful activities, but I’m just as happy relaxing at home with my people. I’m not much of a barker unless I sense something unusual, which makes me a great little watchdog. I sleep soundly through the night and always wake up excited to see you and start the day together.
