Description:

Looking for a bundle of joy to light up your life? Look no further than Puck, our latest adorable 5-month-old Shepherd puppy! This little ball of fur is the epitome of cuteness and charm.Puck is not just your average puppy; he’s a superstar when it comes to crate and potty training. That’s right, there have been no accidents in the house with this clever boy since he arrived from the shelter! Plus, he’s a pro at sleeping through the night in his crate, so you can rest easy knowing you’ll get a good night’s sleep. This energetic pup is passionate about playtime, especially involving his favorite toys, almost any toy, and hanging out with his furry friends. Whether it’s a game of fetch or a romp in the yard, Puck is always ready for fun. He's dog savvy, knowing pretty quickly which dogs are tolerant of his puppy shenanigans and which ones are hands off. After giving all the dogs boundless kisses and climbing all over them, he quickly got the lay of the land that the younger shepherds are into playing. But don’t worry—Puck knows when it’s time to wind down, too. He loves nothing more than snuggling up at his foster mom’s feet while she works and taking cozy naps in between bouts of play. Puck has the cutest puppy snores when he's really tired. He is a source of endless kisses and snuggling right now. A solid pup, Puck's shown us that he is comfortable on all kinds of surfaces and super smart too. If not asked to be in his crate, you might find him dosing on top his crate or a box. Puck knows all about his crate and when asked, he'll stop to grab a toy and head right in. He settles without a peep until you're ready to have him join all the activities. Puck came to us wanting to inhale his food and rudely scope out the other dogs' bowls, so he initially ate from a slow feeder bowl in his crate and learned that there is plenty of food to go around in our care. Puck now eats with the resident dogs with everyone respecting each others bowls although once all are done, he joins the round robin of licking the empty bowls. Although he's lost some puppy teeth in favor of adult ones coming in, he's not mouthy so his prior household appears to have worked with him in that aspect. He selects his toys to help with the achey teeth and settles right in next to his people, he's easy going with his toys selecting replacements out of the basket when he looses one to the other dogs or under the couches. Puck keeps his super glossy soft black coat with baths, he easily sits in the shower enjoying the water and scrubs. Puck loves water so much we'll see if he might like to swim soon.Since Easter weekend, Puck has been living with his original relief foster family. He's so good and fits right in that his foster family easily works from home while caring for him. He's sharing his foster home with two kids and their two female shepherds. Puck is a regular at the kids' track meets and soccer games, always available for snuggles and loves. And some bonus pup cups. He visits his original foster home a couple days a week for the day to hang out with all of his buddies while his foster family heads into the office. Puck is a solid temperament pup, easy to walk on leash without any fears, happy to meet kids and adults in new places with a waggy tail and happy demeanor. He recently met an older couple and we loved seeing him adjust his pace in consideration. If you’re ready to add joy to your family, Puck is the perfect match for you!Puck was a delight at both our outreach booths at the April 7th Paws n Play Sacramento's Market Place and the April 20th Sacramento SPCA Doggy Dash, if you met him at either event, you know how he steals hearts whereever he goes. Adopt Puck, and you’ll gain a loyal companion who will bring endless love and laughter into your home. Let's find him a great forever home that is training and structure oriented as this little guy can charm his way into trouble, he'll need a shepherd experienced home.
