Description:
Nomad is an absolutely stunning, happy, goofy boy who had a rough start (chained up to an RV and living on a sidewalk for most of his puppy-hood), but hasn’t missed a beat since coming into his new life. He is about 11 months old as of March 2026. He last weighed in at 46 pounds. It seems like he will stay on the small-ish side, but he will likely continue to fill out. If you’re looking for a regal, muscular, wolf-ish looking dog with a gaze that will melt the tundra itself, Nomad is your boy. If you’re looking for a silly teddy bear of a dog who loves playing with his humans, going on adventures, snuggling, and looking like a complete goofball, Nomad is also your boy! He still needs training and a firm pack leader. He wants and craves boundaries and direction; he just needs to learn to settle down a bit. Meeting new people and dogs fills him with so much joy, he can barely contain himself—after all he was quite isolated behind an RV for much of his young life. He will continue to need guidance in leash walking and greeting other dogs and people. He has shown some leash reactivity, but indications are he is dog-friendly, if overly boisterous. While he loves nothing more than being with his humans, he is also ok alone in the yard and, after a howl or two, will settle down. He shows no interest in being an escape artist. He is good in the car too! He is crate trained (took to the crate like a champ!), neutered and fully vaccinated. His foster’s ability to work on housetraining has been somewhat limited, but when he comes into the family room, where his crate is, he can play and romp and nap for hours with no accidents, so he is definitely on the way to being house trained. He is SUCH a happy, gorgeous and deserving boy.
