Female Dog, German Shepherd Dog

German Shepherd Dog

Description:

Leila is a beautiful German Shepherd who is one year old and extremely loving. Poor Leila’s life had been rough up until she was rescued, but as you can see, she is now thriving! Leila was left outside without food, water, or shelter. A neighbor witnessed authorities coming and going from where Leila was being held, as well as animal control visiting the property and removing dogs. Once the neighbor realized the premises was being evacuated due to criminal activity, she approached animal control to ask about Leila. Animal control confirmed that their plans were to euthanize Leila, as they had done with the other animals who had been seized. The neighbor negotiated with animal control & they gave her 24 hours to find placement for Leila. A rescue team quickly sprang to action and arranged transportation and temporary housing. Leila arrived to her foster underweight and weary of humans. But with time, she has filled out, learned to love people, and even enjoys meeting new people and dogs! Leila is a stunningly gorgeous dog. She is a young pup at around one year old, and weighs 65 pounds. She will thrive in an active home and gets along very well with other dogs, especially those who are also active and around her same size. She is a playful, happy, and energetic girl. Leila is also smart, inquisitive, and very affectionate. She wants to be close to her humans and enjoys being part of a pack. As a young pup, she is learning how to find her place in rank, and, if given the chance, will test the waters to see if the others will allow her to be the queen bee of the pack! Leila is loving, smart, and active. She will be the perfect companion and family addition to a home with an already active pup in need of a sibling, or a home with an active guardian who is looking for a hiking, running, or walking companion.
