Hello – my name is Sugar Pie. I am a healthy, young American Staffordshire Terrier. My owner recently passed away after a long hard battle with cancer. So, I am looking for a new home. I’m a high energy 3 year-old with a personality as sweet as my name suggests. My favorite activity is chasing a ball. I also enjoy a good chest rub and belly scratch. Snuggle close with me and I will lean into your legs and warm your toes. I have been lonely living in isolation in a backyard and I really crave socialization. I long to join a loving family who will bring me into their home. I need formal obedience training. I’m ready to learn, eager to please, and want nothing more than to earn you praise. My ideal family has no other pets in the home and previous experience with bully breeds like me. I’m friendly with people, but not with other dogs. I am not cat tested. I will get along well with older children who have the maturity to actively participate in my training. Please note that I require spay surgery (to be provided) and will not be adopted out to a new home intact.
