Meet Zeke, the adolescent short, squatty Bulldog/Pitbull mix. Zeke has lived with children ages 2 to 13 years old in his previous home and enjoyed going on walks with the family. When out meeting dogs at the Shelter, Zeke tried to keep up with his friends who were soliciting a game of chase but did not quite have the stamina to keep up. Zeke is still perfecting some life skills like potty training and walking on leash but is eager to bond with his new family. Could that be you? Please note: Our Santa Cruz locationâs Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end âmeet and greetsâ (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If youâd like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
