Terrier / Mixed (Medium Coat)
Description:
Meet Yuki, the terrier mix puppy! We arenât sure the exact breed mix but she look like a terrier. This pup came into the Shelter as an underage little cutie with three siblings. Yuki spent a week in foster with her sister Lumi growing up to prepare for adoption. Her foster reports: âYukiâs name means snow in Japanese and is also associated with happiness and good fortune, a beautiful reflection of her gentle, loving nature. Yuki is a sweet, soft-hearted pup with a short coat, floppy ears, and a calm presence that makes you want to scoop her right into your arms. She can be a bit cautious at first in new situations, but once she feels safe, she blossoms into a total cuddle bug who adores people and loves nothing more than curling up in a warm lap. Yuki is doing wonderfully with potty training and is reliably using pee pads. Like Lumi, Yuki has lived peacefully with cats in her foster home and didnât pay them much attention. She would thrive in a loving home where she can continue building confidence and soak up affection. If youâre hoping to welcome happiness, comfort, and a little good fortune into your home this holiday season, Yuki is ready to be your perfect winter companion.âThe Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter Foundation is now offering âPawsitivity Bucksâ with every dog adoption. This $200 training voucher is a way for newly adopted canines and their guardians to connect with local positive reinforcement based behavior consultants and get their relationship started off on the right paw! Please note: Our Santa Cruz locationâs Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end âmeet and greetsâ (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If youâd like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
