Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (Medium Coat)
Description:
Meet Spot, the pint sized pittie mix! Spot arrived at the Shelter with his brother Spec (who has since been adopted). He has expereince in a previous home living with other dogs and enjoyed their company. At the Shelter, Spot has been a little apprehensive to interact with new people but, once he is comfortable, he blossoms into a goofy pup. The foster reports the following about Spot: âSpot is a super lovebug, curious, and a bit shy (compared to Spec), but loves people, cuddling in bed at night, getting pets, and he loves it when I put his leash on to go outside in my yard.â Spot is still perfecting potty training. He sleeps in the crate at night (with the door open). They have met some friends who have come over to visit. A canine play friend in the home may be a fit after a meet ân greet a the Shelter. We do not have any history of Spot with felines or young children. The Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter Foundation is now offering âPawsitivity Bucksâ with every dog adoption. This $200 training voucher is a way for newly adopted canines and their guardians to connect with local positive reinforcement based behavior consultants and get their relationship started off on the right paw! Please note: Our Santa Cruz locationâs Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end âmeet and greetsâ (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If youâd like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
