Prince has been hanging out in a foster home with some friends and their resident dog Maggie (also a Shelter alum)! Prince’s foster parent reports: “He is doing SO well. We have been having so much fun, and he and Maggie have been getting along great. He has been doing really well overall. He is a quick learner but definitely thrives with lots of positive reinforcement and reassurance. On a fun note, he's also become a great jogging partner! At first, he didn't quite get the idea, but now he loves it. We've been having so much fun together:) He has the biggest heart and is an amazing dog. I hope he finds the perfect forever home soon!” Prince would thrive in a home with another dog friend as it helps him feel safer navigating the world.This animal’s adoption fee is sponsored by the Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter Foundation thanks to “Leave No One Behind fund” – a fund that draws adopter’s eyes towards animals who have been in the Shelter’s care a little longer than average waiting for the right adopter to call their best friend. Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
