Female Dog, Siberian Husky
Siberian Husky / Akita / Mixed (Medium Coat)
Description:
Meet Marbles, the husky mix! This petite gal not only has the looks but has a darling personality. She has a history of living with another dog in her previous home and has enjoyed zooming around with other adolescent dogs at the Shelter. Marbles is hanging out in a foster home. Her foster reports: `Marbles is doing great! She is a very sweet and playful dog and loves walks, playing with dogs and toys, belly rubs and snuggling. She was shy at first but warmed up quickly, and seems to be less shy the more we take her out and about and meet new people. She has some puppy energy, but walks, playing and training have helped with that. She does not appear to have much training aside from being potty trained - we've been working with her on basic commands (sit, touch, etc.), crate training, and some manners, but she'd benefit from dedicated positive reinforcement training in her new home. She is a very athletic dog that would make a great adventure pal.` Marble's adoption fee is sponsored by the Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter Foundation thanks to âLeave No One Behind fundâ â designed to adopterâs eyes towards animals who have been in the Shelterâs care a little longer than average waiting for the right adopter. The Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter Foundation is now offering âPawsitivity Bucksâ with every dog adoption. This $200 training voucher is a way for newly adopted canines and their guardians to connect with local positive reinforcement based behavior consultants and get their relationship started off on the right paw! Please note: Our Santa Cruz locationâs Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end âmeet and greetsâ (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If youâd like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
