Female Dog, Pit Bull Terrier
Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (Medium Coat)
Description:
Meet Banana Bread (also known as BB by her fan club at the Shelter), the senior gray petite pittie mix. BB is not a fan of the kennel at the Shelter so she has been hanging out at client services when we are open. Although her administrative skills are still a work in progress, her personality is a 13/10! She is a little shadow, often following around her favorite people as the work. She settles on beds/rugs by their feet and, when she is really tired, you can hear her snoring away. She enjoys going for walks but is a little cautious in new environment so she may enjoy a more low key home life, especially as she decompresses from being in the Shelter. BB recently spent a week in a foster home so we could learn more about her and her foster reports: `Banana bread is a wonderful and sweet doggo who gets along with everyone and everything. She is very gentle and loves to snuggle on the couch or sleep with you in bed. She is extremely loyal and will follow you around and give her full attention to you even in public. She also has a playful side to her and loves running around with other dogs. Banana bread would make a wonderful and loving addition to any home.` Banana Bread coexisted nicely with the two dog-savvy resident cats, slept in bed with the couple and even made friends with a male boxer and played around with him. Banana Bread is food motivated and knows âsitâ, âdownâ, âshakeâ (with both paws), and âroll overâ (although she tends to get stuck on her back like a turtle). If you are looking for a soulful companion to be your BFF â consider meeting Banana Bread today! Banana Breadâs adoption fee has been sponsored by a generous donor! Please note: Our Santa Cruz locationâs Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end âmeet and greetsâ (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If youâd like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
