01/20/26 14:44Hi! Iâm Scooby. ?? Iâm a 3-ish-year-old brown brindle mixed-breed with a big head, a gentle heart, and excellent mystery-solving manners. Iâve been in a foster home for about a week and settled in faster than you can say Scooby Snack!I get along great with other dogs and school-age kids, have a super soft mouth for play and treats, and know my basics like sit and down. Once Iâm comfortable in a new place, Iâm reliably house trained. Any early âmarkingâ is just me announcing my arrival before I get the lay of the land.Iâm calm, polite, and unflappable: barking dogs, bikes, cars, or scary villains in masks donât faze me. If play gets too rowdy, I back off right away. I meet new people gently when invited, usually with a sniff⦠and then I might roll right over for a belly rub because, letâs be honest, those are excellent.I also love the beach! Fetch? Yes please. Digging in the sand? Obviously. Romping with other dogs? Count me in. I am very respectful of other people's personal space and even their snacks!Cats? Iâm still figuring them out. If theyâre napping or just chilling, Iâll let them be. If they run, I give a short chase but back off quickly if they hiss or swat. My favorite activities include walking around the neighborhood, beach adventures, fetch, and cuddling on the couch while we watch mysteries, cartoons, or sports. I'm also happy to nap or play quietly nearby while you work from home. I rarely bark (even when my foster brother barks at...well...everything), and I excel at quiet companionship.Looking for a loyal sidekick to help solve lifeâs mysteries and maybe share a Scooby Snack or two?ZOINKS! I might be your guy. ??12/28/25What did we do on todayâs adventure:I met my friends and I was so excited to go for another ride in the car! Then we took a loong walk and I got to smell so many great things â a few were sooo good I rolled in them so I could smell good, too! When we took a water break, I reminded my friends that I am a LAP DOG. I fit in everyoneâs lap and I love to snuggle! The part I didnât like was going back to the shelter, but I was very brave. I hope that soon I can go on an adventure and never go back to my kennel. What should potential adopters know about me:Scooby is so ready for his forever family. This dog is friendly, sweet, gentle, non-reactive, and curious about the world. He rides perfectly in the car, walks beautifully on leash, is happy to ignore bikes, runners, dogs (even the reactive dogs donât bother him!) and geese! He is a perfect sniffy walk companion, leading with his nose to find the best smells on the trail. And, when the walk is paused, he is so happy to climb into the nearest lap for a snuggle and kiss. Scooby has been at the shelter far too long. He deserves a wonderful family who will give him stability, love, and lots of laps to cuddle in.Three words to describe me:Gentle, Friendly, Silly12/01/25What did we do on todayâs adventure:I met my new friend, I rode nicely in the car and I got to walk at a park, in a neighborhood and even on a busy street! I had so much fun! We even sat on a bench and watched people and dogs go by for awhile. I love watching, but I love snuggling even more! My new friend learned that I LOVE to snuggle and I can make myself so small I fit on her lap. What should potential adopters know about me:Scooby is such a lovely dog! He was a little nervous about my reaching over him to put on his harness, so we started without it, but by the time we got into the car, he was ready for more touching â and boy does he love touching! He walks like a dream and is completely non-reactive to people, bikes, strollers, dogs, and even squirrels! We took a break on a bench and I quickly learned that Scooby is a lap dog! He is sooo silly and loves to curl up and wiggle onto a lap for even more snuggles. Such a love!Three words to describe me:Non-reactive, Playful, Happy
