Description:

04/25/2025Here is Lil Brent's report card from Tails and Trails! What did we do on today’s adventure: Today’s adventures took Lil Brent on a morning outing with two friends to Almaden Lake and Los Alamitos Creek Trail. We spent miles walking together while heenthusiastically explored his surroundings on a “snifari”. He walked nicely on a leash and wasn’t bothered by geese and squirrels. Lil Brent enjoyed soaking in the lake view, munching on tasty treats, showing off his agility for the camera. During the car ride there and back, he was full of excitement, popping up every few minutes to shower his front seat friends with excited greetings. This charming boy would love a forever family to take him on new adventures and help him keep learning and growing. What should potential adopters know about me: Lil Brent is a happy boy who likes adventures, loves to learn and never says no to a tasty treat.Three words to describe me:Charming, Agile and Polite04/04/2025Here is Lil Brent's report card from Tails and Trails! What did we do on today’s adventure:Today, I went to the park with a new friend, and I was so happy to head out! After a quick potty break in the parking lot, I hopped right into the backseat of her car and settled in for our adventure. This park had so many exciting things—lots of scents, birds, squirrels, aduck, bikers, joggers, walkers, trucks, cars, and doggo friends of all sizes. We politely greeted everything from a distance, and my friend praised me for being such a good boy! My two favorite things on this trip were sniffing and rolling around in the grass! What should potential adopters know about me:Lil Brent is an affectionate and happy boy. When I put on his harness and collar, he gets so excited and tries to give me kisses—though they sometimes turn into little head-butts!He’s great on car rides to Jeffrey Fontana Park, hopping in and out of the car without any help and staying relaxed the entire time. He pulls slightly on the leash at first, but as we continue our walk, he settles into a nice loose-leash pace and frequently checks in with his handler. He’s very observant of his surroundings and can get distracted by noises like birds chirping, trucks, cars, or barking from other dogs. Once he figures out what the sound is, he easily refocuses on the walk.He only pays attention to other dogs when they’re within close range, and a simple redirection like “This way” is all it takes to get him moving again.Lil Brent won’t hesitate to offer kisses and ask for pets. He also loves treats and will happily show off his agility to earn one from you.If this sounds like the companion you’ve been looking for, come meet Lil Brent—you just might fall in love!Three words to describe me: Affectionate, Handsome, Easygoing01/04/25Today was a GOOD day. Big day, lots of smells. We went hiking! Trees, dirt, rocks… Icould sniff for HOURS. And I did. My nose was having a party. The best part, though? The running. When my human picks up the pace, I do too. Wego side by side, and I feel like we're racing through the whole world. I especially like tozoom up the hills and race my human friend - so FUN!When I see another dog, I get a bit excited. I'm a big, strong dog, so it’s not alwayseasy to stay calm, but my human did a good job keeping me in check. They know howto handle me. I was always more interested in sniffing around anyway.Squirrels and birds? Whatever. Not my thing. They move too fast. I prefer the slow, steady stuff. Like that rock I sniffed—probably been there for years, and I got to checkit out. So much history in one sniff.During a water break, I rolled onto my back, and the human gave me a good belly rub.I was in heaven.A good day all around. So many new smells, so many hills to run up, and plenty ofbelly rubs. I don’t need much more than that.Three Words to Describe Me are: Strong, Playful, and ChillNotes from My Walker: Lil’ Brent is a sturdy dog - so he can pull hard towards otherdogs he wants to meet, but if you give a quick “This way” or just reverse direction, he’llgo with you and can be distracted in that manner. He mostly just wants to sniff everything He does like to run; he gave me a playful look at the bottom of the hill andwe raced to the top, and he LOVED it - I think he would make a good running partnerand his goofiness starts to show. He gave a few kisses during the water break at thetop, he just takes some time to warm up to. Once you play with him, then he’s chill withyou and comes in for lots of petting.
