Description:
02/21/26 13:55 MHMeet Kiwi Kiwi is a sensitive, gentle girl who is having a tough time adjusting to the shelter environmentâbut once sheâs out, her sweet personality truly shines. In her kennel, Kiwi has shown signs of stress, often sitting quietly with a lowered head, avoiding eye contact, and sometimes shaking. The busy shelter environment appears overwhelming for her. However, she allows leashing and has been gradually showing improvementârecently approaching for treats and attention when gently coaxed.Outside of the kennel is where Kiwi really blossoms. Once out, she becomes affiliative and engaged, happily interacting with people and even showing interest in toys. She allows full handling and has not displayed fear-based aggression. Her stress appears closely tied to the kennel setting rather than to people.Kiwi would thrive in a calm, patient home (or rescue) that can provide:-A quiet environment with predictable routines-Gentle handling and positive reinforcement-Time and space to decompressWith a little patience and a lot of kindness, Kiwi has the potential to become a devoted, loving companion. Sheâs ready for someone to help her feel safe and confident again.
