Wirehaired Fox Terrier / Chihuahua / Mixed (Medium Coat)
Description:
Meet Itty a ~4-7 year (age is estimate) old female spayed wirehaired fox terrier mix. Itty came into the shelter on 1/13/26. She has medial patellar luxation (grade 3/4) on both kneecaps, and due to the degree of her kneecap luxation she has an abnormal gait in her hind end with a `knock kneed gait`. She has some dental calculus (mild) but minimal gingivitis, and had 1 loose incisor tooth removed at the time of spay. An adopter or committed rescue should provide follow-up care with a veterinarian for follow-up care for her knees - consultation with an orthopedic surgeon is recommended for consideration of surgical intervention for her kneecap issues. She is an incredibly sweet girl and eagerly waiting to be out of the shelter.
