01/29/26 10:51Meet Buckley âa 3-year-old shelter pup with a huge personality and an even bigger heart.Buckley has been in and out of the shelter since June 2025, and while heâs stayed cheerful through it all, heâs more than ready for his forever home. This goofy guy is pure, joyful energyâalways ready to play, bounce around, and turn an ordinary day into something fun. If thereâs room to run or a toy to toss, Buckley is all in.He thrives on an active lifestyle and would love an adopter whoâs excited about walks, playtime, adventures, and plenty of movement. At the shelter, Buckley is a regular in dog playgroups, where he happily joins in with rough-and-rowdy play and shows off his social, playful side. Heâs the kind of dog who makes everyone laugh with his enthusiasm. And people? Buckley loves new people. He greets strangers like old friends, with wagging tails and open-hearted excitement, hoping every hello might be the one that leads him home.Buckley isnât just looking for a place to stayâheâs looking for a partner in fun, a best friend, and a family who will finally give him the consistency and love heâs been waiting for. If youâre ready for laughter, loyalty, and lots of play, Buckley is ready for you.09/22/25 11:24Meet Buckley, a handsome gray goofball of a pitbull with all the wiggly puppy energy your heart can handle. Heâs dreaming of an active homeâone where he can stretch his legs, go on adventures, and share his joyful spirit with his new family. If youâre looking for a playful, affectionate companion who will fill your days with laughter, loyalty, and endless wiggles, Buckley is ready to leap into your lifeâand straight into your heart. What did we do on todayâs adventure:It was the greatest adventure Iâve probably ever had! After breakfast, I was whisked away to get harnessed. I was excited and a little wriggly but I was patient. My new human friend promised meadventures and great snacks so I followed her out. She opened the door of her vehicle and I jumped up into with no effort! There was soft bedding, fluffy blankets, toys and snacks like she promised! I sat up and looked out the window as the vehicle moved. The trip was a little long but next thing I knew, I was magically transported to a whole new world! I was so excited to smell the green grass, feel the warm summer rays on my body, and so many new sounds and smells! To be honest, it was a little overwhelming that I threw up my breakfast after 15 mins of trekking. We met so many dogs with their humans on the trail and cyclists riding past us. I also tried to say hi to everyone I passed as I am a friendly dog (actually I just like to capture scents! Lol). My friend took my down to the water and that made me so happy I jumped around and had zoomies! I love splashing in the clean fresh water. After that we hiked upwards to a large space of green grass(not turf!) and I had zoomies again. I was so excited I jumped on my human friend a few times but she didnât like it and I sat down when she said No and then Sit. We passed by a large group of other humans jogging and wanted to jog along with them as well. It was fun!Time passed so fast I didnât even realize we hiked 5 miles! I was such a great boy on the trails I only chased a squirrel once and for that, I was rewarded a pup cup! Yummy!! On the way back, I fell asleep in the car ride⦠I remember resting my head on the soft bedding but when I woke up I was back at the shelter. It was a great day and I really wish I could have moreâ¦What should potential adopters know about me:Buckley is a friendly and approachable young adult. He walks nicely on the leash except when he wants to smell everything :) He is not reactive to any dogs on the trails and is still getting used to new sounds and animals in the park. He channels your energy; when you run he runs with you, when you walk slower he slows down as well. He loves any body of water and large spaces and will get zoomies. He tends to get over aroused and can be jumpy and a little mouthy but manageable by asking him to sit. He was not nervous in the car ride and can entertain himself with toys and sights out of the window.Three words to describe me: Friendly, Adaptable, Obedient
