Female Dog, Labrador Retriever

Labrador Retriever / Black Labrador Retriever / Mixed (Short Coat)

Description:

Tripod Queenie is a lanky 48-pound sweetheart; she is about 6 years old. She has recently become a tripod after getting hit by a car. Her right hind leg had to be amputated on December 26. Queenie is well on her way to recovery. She loves to go for short walks and exploring the garden. When the sun is out, Queenie finds a nice sunny spot to enjoy. She has no problem negotiating the four outside steps on three legs, even in the rain. We’re not sure what her DNA is exactly but she is heavily a Lab mix in how she looks and with her easy going personality. She has some command training but will need a refresher course due to her special needs. Given time, she will be able to keep up with the other dogs in her life. Grateful Dogs Rescue incurs substantial veterinary and other expenses in rescuing our dogs. In order to recoup some of these costs, we request a tax-deductible donation for each adoption. The suggested donation for Queenie is $300. If you are interested in adopting Queenie, please complete our online adoption application at https://www.gratefuldogsrescue.org/adoption-process/ . One of our volunteers will get back to you. Adoptions are local, confined to the SF Bay Area.
