Description:

Foster or forever home wanted, meet Tango! Tango is a testament to resilience and something the shelter saw in her and the potential she has to be a good dog! She entered the Riverside shelter back on March 17, 2026, with no collar, tag or microchip. No one ever came looking for her for the several months she stayed at the shelter. and the fact she was held so long without being at risk tells us she was a staff favorite; one they hoped to see a positive outcome on. But sadly, all good things come to an end. When we learned Tango was at risk, we put a plan in place to bring her into the rescue. Throughout her 4-month stay, she managed to contract Giardia and an upper respiratory infection that were both treated and resolved. She was noted to be very nervous and scared on intake at the shelter back in March, but with the help of volunteers working with her she has started to blossom and learn to trust. With all the effort the volunteers put into her, life in the kennel eventually takes its toll on a dog. Tango seems to relax a bit more outside of the kennel with a chance to smell fresh air and stretch her legs. She knows some commands, takes treats gently and loves to play in the water. Volunteers also noted she's sweet and affectionate. Tango is new to the rescue, so we are working on getting to know her better. We will update her bio as we learn more. In the meantime, if Tango sounds like a pup you'd be interested in meeting, please fill out an application at labradorsandfriends.org. Tango is located in Southern California.
