We will make every attempt to process all applications within 3 business days of receipt. // // Introducing Roxie! Roxie is a lovable 5-year-old, 10-pound Yorkshire Terrier with a heart full of sweetness. She adores people and has a friendly, affectionate nature. When Roxie first arrived with us, she wasn’t sure about the whole “walks” thing. She’d go potty and then make a beeline right back home. But with time, patience, and lots of love, Roxie has become a little adventurer! Now, she enjoys her daily walks, taking her time to sniff around and smells of the world at her own pace. Recently, Roxie had bladder stones surgically removed, and she’s been an absolute trooper throughout the recovery process. She’s healing wonderfully, though her bladder is still a bit irritated, so she needs to go outside more frequently than other dogs. The good news is that Roxie is great at letting you know when she needs to go out and is also pee pad trained for those in-between moments. She’s managing her needs well, just asking for a bit of extra patience as she continues to heal. Because of this, Roxie will need to be on a special diet for the rest of her life. This is not costly, bit a special need that will need to be met. Sometimes Roxie loves nothing more than snuggling up with her people and burrowing under blankets to stay warm and cozy. Other times she's happy to be splooting. Because Roxie is bonded to her people, she experiences some separation anxiety. She’s happiest when someone is home most of the time and will do best in a home where she isn’t left alone for long periods. She will make the most awesome companion She would love to go to brunch of yoga with you! With a consistent routine, reassurance, and love, she’s learning to feel more secure. She gets along great with other dogs and respectful older children. Her ideal family will understand her emotional and physical needs and will cherish her for the sweet soul girl she is. Roxie is spayed, up to date on her vaccinations, and ready for her next loving chapter. Her adoption fee is $300. All Second Chance Dog Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, are up to date on vaccines and have microchips prior to adoption. Adoption fees vary depending on age of dog. Fees help Second Chance Dog Rescue cover spay/neuter costs, vaccinations, medical treatments, food and supplies. Please go to www.secondchancedogrescue.org and complete an application today! All dogs live in private foster homes until they are adopted.
