Forever Home Wanted: Meet Romeo! Romeo is about 2 years old, 70 pounds, and officially accepting applications for his forever love story. This boy is ready to steal your heart and maybe your favorite couch spot. Romeo is new to the whole “living indoors and being adored” lifestyle. Foster life is a big upgrade from street life, and while he can be a little shy at first, once he feels safe his spunky, silly, lovable personality shines. He absolutely loves other dogs and would be thrilled to have a canine buddy. He shares toys politely, appears potty trained, sleeps quietly through the night, and rides great in the car with his head out the window, ears flapping, living his best life. He’s gentle taking treats, horse friendly, and has clearly mastered the art of professional sunbathing. Leash walking is still a work in progress. Romeo can get nervous, which makes sense given his past. He was once found trying to stay dry under a bus stop during the rain, where people were not kind to him. Despite that, he’s incredibly gentle and wants to trust. He just needs someone patient to show him the world isn’t such a scary place. His ideal home is calm and loving, ideally with another playful dog, and with humans who understand that some of the best dogs take a little time to bloom. Romeo doesn’t demand attention or make a big show of asking for love, but once you give it to him, he holds onto it tightly. He’s ready for his happy ending.
