German Shepherd Dog (Short Coat)
Description:
Please contact Adoption ([email protected]) for more information about this pet. River is a beautiful 3-year-old black and tan German Shepherd who recently rejoined our rescue. He previously lived in a home with three other dogs—both small and large—and his best friend was a female Goldendoodle, so he’s no stranger to canine companionship. At the Ranch, River has already begun forming a sweet friendship with Foxxy, and the two are showing great signs of becoming playmates. River is housebroken, knows his basic commands, walks easily on a leash, and truly loves playing with other dogs. River can be tentative at first and a bit cautious with people, but once he knows you he’s affectionate. River finds comfort in being around his canine friends, making him a wonderful fit for a home that values connection, play, and companionship. The best home for River would be an adult-only home that has another dog of his generation and a home with low foot traffice (minimal people in/out of the home). River is ready for adoption, and ready to meet his forever family. Please visit http://www.coastalk9gsrsd.org/to learn more about our dogs. Click on available dogs to see further descriptions. If you are interested in me, please contact us at [email protected] or call (858) 779-9149. Don't forget to fill out our online application. The minimum adoption donation ranges from $300 to $400. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is 100% tax deductible. Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems. Our adoption process begins with completing an application on-line. A phone screening will soon follow, and lastly a home visit will be conducted by our volunteers. We show our dogs at adoption events every weekend! Check our our website to see where we'll be next!
