Keep calm and woof on.

Male Dog, Labrador Retriever
Labrador Retriever / Terrier / Mixed
Description:
Makoa has captivating blue eyes that set him apart from the rest. He is mostly white with a short coat and is about 60lbs. He has several different breeds in our estimation including Labrador, Terrier, Pointer, and possibly Whippet. Makoa is a very kind boy with a happy go lucky personality. He is also strong and ready to run. We are looking for a family who loves to go on walks, hiking, trails, beach and who will make sure he gets appropriate attention and exercise each day. Makoa will reward you with love, attention, and be very loyal to his family who is committed to his care. He loves treats, is eager to learn and knows his basic commands. Makoa has met several dogs and is ready to play but it would be best if they match his size as he is young and likes to engage in active playing. He is house and crate trained but prefers a penned area over a crate. During the past months, he has been confined in a pen with just time out to go potty and he has been so patient and easy to handle. His foster adores this kind and loving boy and has so many good things to share about him. With his youth and size, we suggest children be a bit older at about 6 years of age. Makoa is one happy boy who started out on a bad foot literally. His front leg was badly broken and he had been left on the streets trying to stay alive. Lucky for Makoa, someone cared enough to bring him to Labs and More where he got the care he needed. Makoa's surgery was successful and we were able to save his leg. After many weeks of rest he is raring to go and ready to find his forever family. He is looking for his people...a family....someone who will keep him safe and love him for his life.
