Female Dog, Labrador Retriever
Labrador Retriever / Shepherd / Mixed
Description:
Social, playful and smart - Gabbie is the whole package! Gabbie is around 2 years old and we believe she is a black Lab and Shepherd mix. True to her Shepherd breed mix, she is a loyal and loving girl that bonds closely to her family and wants to be at your side as much as she can. She is housetrained in her current foster home and sleeps quietly in her crate at night. She has made a lot of progress being on her own and while she will still cry for about 10 minutes when first left home alone, she has learned to settle down in her crate when you do have to leave her behind. She's even better when her foster siblings are nearby. Gabbie is a smart girl and picks up training and the routine quickly. She has learned several commands and thrives when she has a job to do. Gabbie has a playful side in short bursts but she really loves her walks and is happy to go as long and as far as you're wanting to go. She's an athletic girl but also knows how to chill out and loves to snuggle on the couch. She enjoys car rides and going on adventures. She is fostered with two other dogs and did well with them after a pack walk and a slow, patient introduction. She loves to play with other dogs and has a rough and tumble, catch-me-if-you-can playstyle. Gabbie is looking for an experienced dog family that sets up rules and boundaries for her from day one and continues to work on her training to set her up for success. If you think you are ready to add to your family by adopting Gabbie then fill out an adoption questionnaire on our website today! We recommend completing the questionnaire and connecting with an adoption coach before looking for a dog or puppy you'd like to adopt. If you're already approved to adopt or if you've adopted from Labs and More before, connect with your adoption coach for the next steps. Your interest in adopting a rescued dog or puppy from Labs and More Rescue is appreciated! Please find our adoption information at www.labsandmore.org. So much care is provided to your new dog prior to the adoption, including: spay and neuter, microchip, veterinarian visit(s), vaccinations, and other medical care as needed. Many of the dogs we rescue require extensive surgeries and care prior to adoption. Please understand we are unable to predict future behavior or medical needs of your adopted dog.
