Female Dog, Labrador Retriever

Labrador Retriever / Mixed (Medium Coat)

Description:

Forever home wanted, meet Biscuit! Biscuit found herself at the Carson shelter on December 12. Sadly, she had no collar, tag and no microchip. Biscuit sat in the shelter during the required hold period, and no one came looking for her. Biscuit looked unkept, her coat was dirty, and she had some wounds on her face and leg. She was clearly depressed on intake. She had no interest in food, and she hung her head low. When we saw her, we knew we wanted to help but needed a foster home. Luckily for Biscuit a wonderful foster offer came in so we were able to spring her. Biscuit left the shelter Thursday and went to her foster home. She has settled in very nicely into their quiet home and met their resident dogs. all get along well. She went to the vet today for antibiotics to help with what appears to be a mild case of kennel cough. Biscuit appears to have been an indoor dog and someone's companion. She loves attention and solicits pets. She has a great appetite and sleeps very well. She also walks nicely on the leash. She seems to know some basic commands. Biscuit appears to be about 6-7 years old best guess. The shelter aged her at 4 (5+ years) but in her vet visit today they thought possibly a little older. Biscuit is looking for her forever home. If you are interested in meeting Biscuit, please head over to labradorsandfriends.org to fill out an application. Biscuit is located in Southern California.
