German Shepherd Dog (Short Coat)

Description:

Meet Alfie – Cute, Confident, and Ready to Learn! At just 18 weeks old, Alfie is already making a big impression! Like any puppy, he's bursting with energy and curiosity, but what really stands out is his natural confidence and eagerness to engage with the world around him. Alfie recently joined our rescue and has settled in very well at the Ranch. We have introduced him to our other puppies and to Asha, a fantastic mentor dog. She’s been showing him the ropes on how to play respectfully, interact with other dogs, and develop proper social skills. Alfie is respectful and well-mannered with Asha and plays beautifully with her puppies, Honor and Dreamer. This adorable little guy would do best in a home that offers: Structure and leadership to guide him through his puppy stages A well-balanced adult dog to help mentor and model good behavior A family committed to helping him grow into a well-rounded adult dog Alfie may be cute (and trust us he is!), but he’s also smart, spunky, and ready to take on the world. With the right environment, he’s going to grow into an incredible companion. Puppies are a life-long commitment. They need time, training, vet care and healthy feeding to become good canine citizens. Don't even think of adopting a puppy unless you intend to invest the time and money and commitment required, and you can expect to lose a few good shoes along the way! Please visit http://www.coastalk9gsr.org/ to learn more about our dogs. Click on available dogs to see further descriptions. If you are interested in me, please contact us at [email protected] or call (858) 779-9149. Don't forget to fill out our online application. The minimum adoption donation ranges from $300 to $400. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is 100% tax deductible. Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems. Our adoption process begins with completing an application on-line. A phone screening will soon follow, and lastly a home visit will be conducted by our volunteers.
