Learn more hereTrixie is a 6-year-old, 73-pound German Shepherd mix with a gentle soul and a quietly charming presence. She’s calm, easygoing, and affectionate. She’s happiest being close to her person, politely nudging for pets or simply standing nearby with her soft, endearing gaze. In her foster home, Trixie took a few days to warm up to her new parents, but soon became a bundle of joy. She is very affectionate and loves to follow her parents around the house, but is also happy to nap or play with her stuffed toys when her parents are busy. On walks, she loves to sniff everything in her path, but can walk quite fast when she feels like going somewhere. She will come when called by her name, tends to wisely choose grass or dirt areas when going potty, and is progressing well to learning verbal commands, like sit, paw, and down. Trixie has shown relaxed, friendly behavior with other dogs and would do well with a compatible canine companion or as a solo dog with friends.
