I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog I:4Scooter – Affectionate, Engaging, and Fun-Loving Scooter is a sweet and engaging Pit Bull Terrier mix just under 3 years old and weighing about 63 pounds. Manageable leash manners: Scooter may pull a bit on leash, but it’s very manageable, staying connected during walks. Smart and treat motivated: He responds beautifully to “sit” and will often auto-sit for treats which he takes politely. Affectionate once comfortable: Scooter may be a little shy at first, but he warms up quickly and then leans in for scratches, soaking up attention. Playful energy: He enjoys chasing a tennis ball and will usually drop it nearby. He may get a bit bouncy and try to sneak in a lick, but settles quickly. Dog social: Scooter attends doggie playgroup and plays gently with other dogs. Scooter may do well with appropriately matched dogs or as a solo dog with dog friends.
