Hilma is a super sweet, gentle soul who just wants to be close to her people (and her dog and cat friends, too!). She’s a lovely mix of cuddly and independent—happy to crawl into your lap for snuggles but also content to quietly hang out nearby. Though shy at first, Hilma truly wants to be brave. In just a few days in foster care, she’s already blossoming, and with continued patience, love, and encouragement, she’s sure to shine even more in her forever home. She’s quiet, not a barker, and isn’t fazed by loud noises—making her an easy, respectful house guest. She’s house trained, doing wonderfully with crate training, and is a calm, medium-to-low energy level. She picks up on things quite quickly and is food motivated, so she will be easy to train as she gains more confidence. Hilma would thrive in a home with another confident calm dog to help show her the ropes and give her extra reassurance.
